Paul F. Morris Earthenware Pottery Las Vegas Series

This series of pots is flashy to say the least. Some surfaces are graphically striking while others are succulently decadent. These depicted representative pots of this series are expressions of my fascination with ancient Greek pottery. Some are contemporary re-creations of classic shapes with updated surfaces while others are reinterpretations or extrapolations of Greek forms. Most pots of this series have glistening qualities that could initially fool the viewer that these objects are plastic, the result of overglaze lusters that impart an irridescent sheen.
